S.F. 2196 Section 1. Section 8C.9, Code 2020, is amended to read as 1 follows: 2 8C.9 Repeal. 3 This chapter is repealed July 1, 2022 2025 . 4 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 5 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill extends the future repeal date of the Iowa cell 10 siting Act contained in Code chapter 8C from July 1, 2022, to 11 July 1, 2025, and makes the extension effective upon enactment. 12 -1- LSB 5254SV (1) 88 ja/rn 1/ 1
