Display
——
preamble
of
the

Declaration
of
Independence.

The
board
of
directors
of
each
school
district
and
the
3
authorities
in
charge
of
each
nonpublic
school
shall
cause
to
4
be
displayed
in
every
school
attendance
center
operated
by
the
5
school
district
or
nonpublic
school
the
following
words
from
6
the
preamble
of
the
Declaration
of
Independence:
We
hold
these
7
truths
to
be
self-evident,
that
all
men
are
created
equal,
that
8
they
are
endowed
by
their
Creator
with
certain
unalienable
9
Rights,
that
among
these
are
Life,
Liberty
and
the
pursuit
of
10
Happiness.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
13
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
every
public
school
board
and
the
15
authorities
in
charge
of
each
accredited
nonpublic
school
16
to
cause
every
school
to
display
the
first
sentence
of
the
17
preamble
of
the
Declaration
of
Independence.
