1.
NEW
SECTION

Voter
registration
forms

agents.

The
secretary
of
state
shall
provide
voter
registration

forms
to
license
agents
as
provided
in
section
483A.12.

Sec.
2.
Section
455A.4,
Code
2019,
is
amended
by
adding
the
5
following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION
.

The
department
shall
place
on
the
7
portion
of
the
internet
site
of
the
department
dedicated
to
the
8
electronic
issuance
of
licenses
pursuant
to
chapter
483A
a
link

to
the
portion
of
the
internet
site
of
the
secretary
of
state
10
dedicated
to
voter
registration.

Sec.
3.
Section
483A.12,
Code
2019,
is
amended
by
adding
the
12
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
3.
a.
A
license
agent
shall
make
available
14
to
a
person
purchasing
a
license
who
is
at
least
seventeen
and
15
one-half
years
of
age
a
voter
registration
form
as
defined
in
16
section
48A.2.
17
b.
The
department
shall
provide
and
regularly
update
to
the
18
secretary
of
state
a
list
of
all
license
agents
in
the
state.
19
The
secretary
of
state
shall
regularly
provide
to
all
such
20
license
agents
a
supply
of
voter
registration
forms.

EXPLANATION
22
The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
23
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
voter
registration
information
25
provided
by
the
department
of
natural
resources
and
license
26
agents.
License
agents
are
those
entities
authorized
by
the
27
department
of
natural
resources
to
sell
hunting,
fishing,
and
28
other
licenses.
The
bill
requires
the
department
of
natural
29
resources
to
provide
to
the
secretary
of
state
a
list
of
all
30
license
agents
in
the
state.
The
secretary
of
state
must
31
provide
a
supply
of
voter
registration
forms
to
all
such
32
license
agents,
and
such
license
agents
must
make
the
forms
33
available
to
all
persons
purchasing
a
license
who
are
at
least
34
17
and
1/2
years
of
age.
The
bill
also
requires
the
department
