is
amended
to
read
as

follows:

Flags
on
public
buildings.

It
shall
be
the
duty
of
any
board
of
public
officers
charged

with
providing
supplies
for
a
public
building
in
the
state
5
to
provide
a
suitable
state
flag
and
it
shall
be
the
duty
of
6
the
custodian
of
that
public
building
to
raise
the
flags
of
7
the
United
States
of
America
,
and
the
state
of
Iowa,
and
the
8
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag,
upon
each
secular
9
day
when
weather
conditions
are
favorable.
The
national
league
10
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag
shall
be
flown
underneath
the
flag
of
11
the
United
States
of
America
and
the
flag
of
the
state
of
Iowa.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
the
custodian
of
a
public
building

shall
raise
the
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag
upon

each
secular
day
when
weather
conditions
are
favorable.
The

bill
provides
that
the
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’

flag
shall
be
flown
underneath
the
flag
of
the
United
States
of

America
and
the
flag
of
the
state
of
Iowa.
