H.F. 77 Section 1. Section 455A.18, subsection 3, paragraph a, Code 1 2019, is amended to read as follows: 2 a. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, and each 3 succeeding fiscal year of the fiscal period beginning July 4 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 2021 , there is appropriated 5 from the general fund , of the state to the Iowa resources 6 enhancement and protection fund, the amount of twenty million 7 dollars, to be used as provided in this chapter . However, 8 in any fiscal year of the fiscal period , if moneys from the 9 lottery are appropriated by the state to the fund, the amount 10 appropriated under this subsection shall be reduced by the 11 amount appropriated from the lottery. 12 EXPLANATION 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 14 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 15 For each fiscal year, the Iowa resources enhancement fund is 16 supported by a standing limited appropriation of $20 million 17 from the general fund of the state until the fiscal year ending 18 June 30, 2021.
