H.F. 705 Section 1. Section 232.2, subsection 22, paragraph b, 1 subparagraph (3), Code 2019, is amended to read as follows: 2 (3) Visiting the home, residence, or both home and residence 3 of the child , monthly, and any prospective home or residence of 4 the child, including each time placement is changed. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill relates to the responsibilities of guardian ad 9 litems for children. 10 Code section 232.2 provides duties for guardian ad litems 11 for children in juvenile delinquency, child in need of 12 assistance, and dissolution of marriage proceedings. The bill 13 amends current law to specify a guardian ad litem is required 14 to visit the home, residence, or both the home and residence of 15 the child, monthly, and any prospective home or residence of 16 the child, including each time placement is changed. 17 -1- LSB 2432HV (2) 88 hb/rh 1/ 1
