H.F. 50 Section 1. Section 483A.8, subsection 7, Code 2019, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 7. A person who is issued a youth deer hunting license may 3 use the deer hunting license and tag during any established 4 deer hunting season using the method of take authorized by rule 5 for each season being hunted. A person hunting with a youth 6 deer hunting license during the youth deer hunting season is 7 authorized to use a crossbow as a method of take in addition to 8 any other method of take authorized by the department by rule. 9 If the tag is filled during one of the seasons, the license 10 will not be valid in subsequent seasons. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 Current law allows a person hunting with a youth deer hunting 15 license during the youth deer hunting season to use a method 16 of take authorized by the department of natural resources by 17 rule for that season.
