ELECTRONIC
PRESCRIPTION
EXEMPTION.

1.
The
board
of
pharmacy
shall
adopt
rules
to
allow
for
an
3
expedited
process
through
which
a
free
clinic,
as
defined
in
4
section
135.24,
that
does
not
prescribe
controlled
substances,
5
may
add
additional
practitioners.

2.
The
board
of
pharmacy
shall
adopt
rules
to
exempt
a
free
7
clinic,
as
defined
in
section
135.24,
that
does
not
prescribe
8
controlled
substances,
from
the
requirement
that
every
9
prescription
issued
for
a
prescription
drug
be
transmitted
10
electronically
for
a
period
of
three
years.

this

does

constitute

the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
hiring
of
practitioners
and

transmission
of
certain
prescriptions
by
free
clinics.

The
bill
directs
the
board
of
pharmacy
to
adopt
rules
17
allowing
an
expedited
process
by
which
free
clinics
that
18
do
not
prescribe
controlled
substances
may
add
additional
19
practitioners.
The
bill
also
requires
the
board
of
pharmacy
20
to
adopt
rules
exempting
free
clinics
that
do
not
prescribe
21
controlled
substances
from
requirements
relating
to
the
22
electronic
transmission
of
prescriptions
for
three
years.
