A
school
district
that
issues
identification
cards
to

students
in
kindergarten
through
grade
twelve
shall
include
on

either
side
of
the
identification
card
an
eloquent,
uplifting,
5
life-affirming
message
that
reinforces
students’
innate
worth
6
and
dignity.
The
message
shall
be
substantially
similar
to
one
7
of
the
following:

1.
No
matter
the
setting,
circumstances,
or
crowd,
remember
9
that
you
are
immensely
valuable
as
you.
Stand
firm
in
your
10
feelings,
values,
and
intuition
and
know
that
it
is
you
who
11
holds
your
life
path
in
your
hands.
You
are
important,
unique,
12
and
irreplaceable.
Live
so
you
celebrate
that
truth.

2.
Wherever
you
are
today,
remember
that
you
are
immensely
14
valuable
as
you.
Your
unique
perspective,
thoughts,
feelings,

and
experiences
are
invaluable
to
this
world.
Merely
by

existing,
you
provide
and
help
create
the
infinite
expansion
of

the
universe.

APPLICABILITY.
This
Act
applies
to
student
19
identification
cards
issued
on
or
after
the
effective
date
20
of
this
Act.
A
school
district
that
has
a
supply
of
unused
21
student
identification
cards
shall
use
that
supply
prior
to
22
complying
with
the
requirements
of
this
Act.

EXPLANATION
24
The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
25
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
that
school
districts
that
issue
27
identification
cards
to
students
in
kindergarten
through
28
grade
12
include
on
either
side
of
the
identification
card
an
29
eloquent,
uplifting,
life-affirming
message
that
reinforces

students’
innate
worth
and
dignity.
The
message
shall
be

bill.
