Members

commission
shall
appoint

chairperson

commission

majority

members

commission

shall
grant
high
school
credit
to

an
eligible
student
enrolled
in
a
course
under
this
chapter
20
if
the
eligible
student
successfully
completes
the
course
as
21
determined
by
the
eligible
postsecondary
institution.
The
22
board
of
directors
of
the
school
district,
the
board
of
regents
23
for
the
Iowa
school
for
the
deaf
and
hard
of
hearing
and
the
24
Iowa
braille
and
sight
saving
school,
or
authorities
in
charge
25
of
an
accredited
nonpublic
school
shall
determine
the
number
26
of
high
school
credits
that
shall
be
granted
to
an
eligible
27
student
who
successfully
completes
a
course.
Eligible
students

may
take
up
to
seven
semester
hours
of
credit
during
the
summer

months
when
school
is
not
in
session
and
receive
credit
for

cost

upon
the
proposed
merger

closing,
together

data
which
would
support
the
contention
that
the
merger
or
8
closing
will
be
more
efficient
and
effective
than
continuation
9
of
the
existing
facilities.
The
analysis
shall
include
a
10
detailed
study
of
the
educational
implications
of
the
merger
11
or
closing,
the
impact
on
the
students,
and
the
opinions
and
12
research
of
nationally
