H.F. 2320 Section 1. Section 8A.512A, Code 2020, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 2A. The department shall adopt rules 3 authorizing payment of claims for reimbursement for certain 4 in-state and out-of-state travel, conference, or related 5 expenditures on a per diem basis. The rules shall provide 6 per diem allowances for lodging, meals, and other incidental 7 expenses in an amount not less than the per diem rates for 8 travel expenses established by the United States general 9 services administration. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill requires the department of administrative services 14 to adopt rules authorizing payment of claims for reimbursement 15 for certain in-state and out-of-state travel expenses of 16 executive branch employees on a per diem basis.
