There
is
appropriated
from
the
general
fund
of
the
state

to
the
department
of
natural
resources
for
the
fiscal
year

beginning
July
1,
2020,
and
ending
June
30,
2021,
the
following

amount,
or
so
much
thereof
as
is
necessary,
to
be
used
for
the
6
purpose
designated:

To
provide
grants
to
participating
counties
to
support
8
activities
and
events
celebrating
this
state’s
one
hundredth
9
anniversary
of
the
state
park
system:

The
department
shall
award
not
more
than
$10,000
to
a

participating
county
based
on
the
department’s
evaluation
of

an
application
submitted
to
the
department
by
the
county.
A
14
proposal
shall
be
prepared
in
consultation
with
the
county’s
15
conservation
board.
Two
or
more
contiguous
counties
may
16
make
a
combined
proposal.
In
that
case,
the
department
17
shall
not
award
more
than
$10,000
multiplied
by
the
number
18
of
participating
counties
to
a
county
designated
by
the
19
department.

The
department
may
retain
not
more
than
$10,000
to
21
administer
this
section.

agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
appropriates
moneys
from
the
general
fund
to
the

department
of
natural
resources
for
FY
2020-2021
to
provide

grants
to
participating
counties
to
support
activities
and
28
events
celebrating
this
state’s
100th
anniversary
of
the
state
29
park
system.
