H.F. 2100 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 280.13D High school track meets 1 —— pole vaulting requirement. 2 As a condition of maintaining registration with the 3 department of education pursuant to section 280.13 on or after 4 July 1, 2020, an organization that sponsors or administers high 5 school track meets shall require that pole vaulting be included 6 in the event schedule for track meets the organization sponsors 7 or administers. This section does not require that pole 8 vaulting be included in a track meet if no school participating 9 in the track meet has a pole vaulting team. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill requires that an organization that sponsors 14 or administers high school track meets require that pole 15 vaulting be included in the event schedule for track meets 16 the organization sponsors or administers, as a condition of 17 maintaining registration with the department of education on 18 or after July 1, 2020. 19 The bill does not require that pole vaulting be included in 20 a track meet if no school participating in the track meet has a 21 pole vaulting team. 22 -1- LSB 5892YH (2) 88 je/jh 1/ 1
