H.F. 2013 Section 1. Section 331.552, subsection 4, Code 2020, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 4. Keep the official county seal provided by the county. 3 The official seal shall be an impression seal on the face of 4 which shall appear the name of the county, the word “county” , 5 which may be abbreviated, the word “treasurer” which may be 6 abbreviated, and the word “Iowa”. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill relates to the design of county seals. Under 11 current law, a county treasurer is required to keep the 12 official county seal. The official county seal shall include 13 the name of the county, the word “county”, which may be 14 abbreviated, the word “treasurer”, which may be abbreviated, 15 and the word “Iowa”.
