S.F. _____ Section 1. STATE SCHOOL FOUNDATION PROGRAM —— FUNDING —— 1 INTENT. It is the intent of the general assembly, during the 2 2017 Regular Session, to establish funding amounts within the 3 state school foundation program under chapter 257 for the 4 budget year beginning July 1, 2017. 5 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 6 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 7 Sec. 3. APPLICABILITY. This Act applies to school budget 8 years beginning on or after July 1, 2017. 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill provides that it is the intent of the general 13 assembly during the 2017 regular session to establish funding 14 amounts within the state school foundation program under Code 15 chapter 257 for the budget year beginning July 1, 2017. 16 The bill takes effect upon enactment and applies to school 17 budget years beginning on or after July 1, 2017. 18 -1- LSB 2206XC (1) 87 md/sc 1/ 1
