Secondary
road
improvements
1

A
person
who,
without
compensation,
performs
necessary

improvements
to
a
secondary
road
as
defined
in
section
306.3,

shall
not
be
liable
for
civil
damages
for
acts
or
omissions

resulting
from
the
necessary
improvements.
“Necessary

improvements”
includes
but
is
not
limited
to
maintenance
and
7
repair.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
a
person
who,
without
compensation,

performs
necessary
improvements
to
a
secondary
road
shall
not

be
liable
for
civil
damages
for
acts
or
omissions
resulting

from
the
necessary
improvements.
“Necessary
improvements”

includes
but
is
not
limited
to
maintenance

secondary
road
is
defined
in
Code
section
306.3
as
a
road

county
jurisdiction.
