S.F. 383 Section 1. SUPPORTIVE HOUSING TASK FORCE. The Iowa 1 finance authority shall establish a supportive housing task 2 force to examine issues and make recommendations to promote 3 the provision of supportive housing to homeless persons to 4 enable them to live as independently as possible. The task 5 force shall include representatives from statewide housing 6 trust funds, affordable housing groups, and other interested 7 stakeholders. The task force shall submit a report to the 8 general assembly by December 29, 2017, which shall include the 9 findings and recommendations of the task force and a plan to 10 create and finance supportive housing. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 This bill requires the Iowa finance authority to establish 15 a supportive housing task force to examine issues and make 16 recommendations to promote the provision of supportive housing 17 to homeless persons to enable them to live as independently as 18 possible.
