goes
armed
with
a
dangerous

weapon

an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
beam

that
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
a

person,
as
long
as
such
a
dangerous
weapon
does
not
generate
a
6
projectile
that
directs
an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
7
beam
that
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
8
a
person,
and
such
a
dangerous
weapon
is
not
used
in
the
9
commission
of
a
public
offense.

This
bill
excludes
persons
going
armed
with
certain

devices

weapons
that
direct
an
electric
current

the
criminal
offense
of
carrying
weapons
under
certain

circumstances.

Under
the
bill,
a
person
does
not
commit
the
criminal
offense
18
of
carrying
weapons
if
the
person
goes
armed
with
a
dangerous
19
weapon
that
directs
an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
beam
20
that
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
a
21
person,
as
long
as
such
a
dangerous
weapon
does
not
generate
22
a
projectile
that
directs
an
electric
current,
impulse,
23
wave,
or
beam
that
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
24
immobilize
a
person,
and
such
dangerous
weapon
is
not
used
in
25
the
commission
of
a
public
offense.

Currently,
such
a
person
commits
the
criminal
offense
of
27
carrying
weapons
which
is
an
aggravated
misdemeanor.
An
28
aggravated
misdemeanor
is
punishable
by
confinement
for
no
more
29
than
two
years
and
a
fine
of
at
least
$625
but
not
more
than
30
$6,250.
