NEW
SECTION
.
68A.402C
Notification
of
amendment
1
of
a
disclosure
report.
2
Beginning
September
1
of
each
year,
within
one
working
3
day
of
receiving
a
document
adding
to,
deleting,
or
changing
4
information
on
a
disclosure
report
in
the
amount
of
at
least
5
two
hundred
fifty
dollars
from
a
candidate
campaigning
to
be
a
6
state
senator
or
representative
or
a
statewide
elected
official
7
as
defined
in
section
68B.2,
the
board
shall
notify
all
other
8
candidates
for
the
same
position
in
the
same
election,
who
9
have
organized
a
candidate’s
committee
pursuant
to
section
10
68A.202
and
have
submitted
a
written
request
for
notification
11
in
a
manner
prescribed
by
the
board,
by
electronic
mail
that
12
the
candidate
has
filed
an
amended
disclosure
report.
The
13
notification
shall
include
a
copy
of
the
disclosure
report
14
altered
by
the
amended
disclosure
report.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
17
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
ethics
and
campaign
disclosure
board,
19
beginning
September
1
of
each
year,
to
notify
candidates
for
20
state
senator
or
representative
or
statewide
elected
office,
21
who
have
requested
such
notifications,
by
electronic
mail
22
within
one
working
day
of
the
filing
of
an
amended
disclosure
23
report
by
another
candidate
for
the
same
position
in
the
24
same
election.
The
notification
must
include
a
copy
of
the
25
disclosure
report
that
is
being
amended.
