window

the

or

of
the
driver,
or
a
side-wing
sidewing

forward
of
and
to
the
left
or
right
of
the
driver
which
is

excessively
dark
or
reflective
so
that
it
is
difficult
for
a

person
outside
the
motor
vehicle
to
see
into
the
motor
vehicle
8
through
the
windshield,
window,
or
sidewing.

b.
A
person
shall
not
sell
a
motor
vehicle
equipped
with

a
front
windshield,
a
side
window
to
the
immediate
right
or
11
left
of
the
driver,
or
a
sidewing
forward
of
and
to
the
left
or
12
right
of
the
driver
which
is
excessively
dark
or
reflective
so

that
it
is
difficult
for
a
person
outside
the
motor
vehicle
to

see
into
the
motor
vehicle
through
the
windshield,
window,
or

sidewing.

c.
A
person
shall
not
install
in
a
motor
vehicle
a
front

windshield,
a
side
window
to
the
immediate
right
or
left
of
the

driver,
or
a
sidewing
forward
of
and
to
the
left
or
right
of
the

driver
which
is
excessively
dark
or
reflective
so
that
it
is

difficult
for
a
person
outside
the
motor
vehicle
to
see
into

motor
vehicle
through
the
windshield,
window,
or
sidewing.

d.
The
department
shall
adopt
rules
establishing
a
minimum
23
measurable
standard
of
transparency
which
shall
apply
to

violations
of
this
subsection
.

Under
current
law,
a
person
is
prohibited
from
operating
on

the

transportation,
“excessively
dark

or
reflective”
means
that
the
windshield,
front
side
window,
or

front
sidewing
does
not
meet
a
minimum
standard
of
transparency
3
of
70
percent
light
transmittance.

This
bill
prohibits
a
person
from
selling
a
motor
vehicle
5
equipped
with
a
front
windshield,
a
side
window
to
the
6
immediate
right
or
left
of
the
driver,
or
a
sidewing
forward
7
of
and
to
the
left
or
right
of
the
driver
which
is
excessively
8
dark
or
reflective.
The
bill
also
prohibits
a
person
from
9
installing
in
a
motor
vehicle
a
front
windshield,
a
side
10
window
to
the
immediate
right
or
left
of
the
driver,
or
a
11
sidewing
forward
of
and
to
the
left
or
right
of
the
driver
12
which
is
excessively
dark
or
reflective.
By
operation
of
law,

a
violation
of
these
provisions
is
punishable
by
a
scheduled
14
fine
of
$50.
