S.F. 125 Section 1. Section 321.37, subsection 2, Code 2017, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 2. Registration plates issued for a A motor vehicle which 3 is model year 1948 thirty model years old or older, and or a 4 reconstructed or specially constructed vehicles vehicle built 5 to resemble a model year 1948 vehicle or older motor vehicle 6 which is thirty model years old or older , other than a truck 7 registered for more than five tons, autocycle, motorcycle, or 8 truck tractor, may display one registration plate on the rear 9 of the vehicle if the other registration plate issued to the 10 vehicle is carried in the vehicle at all times when the vehicle 11 is operated on a public highway. 12 EXPLANATION 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 14 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 15 Current law permits motor vehicles which are model year 1948 16 or older, and reconstructed or specially constructed vehicles 17 built to resemble vehicles which are model year 1948 or older, 18 other than trucks registered for more than 5 tons, autocycles, 19 motorcycles, or truck tractors, to display one registration 20 plate on the rear of the vehicle if the other registration 21 plate issued to the vehicle is carried in the vehicle at all 22 times when the vehicle is operated on a public highway.
