Minors’
use
of
tanning

devices
prohibited.

A
tanning
facility
shall
not
allow
a
person
under
eighteen

years
of
age
to
use
a
tanning
device.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
6
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
prohibits
tanning
facilities
from
allowing
a
8
person
under
the
age
of
18
to
use
a
tanning
device.
A
facility
9
violating
the
bill
may
be
assessed
a
civil
penalty
of
up
to
10
$1,000
per
day
of
continuing
violation.
