2017,
is
amended
by
adding

the
following
new
subsection:

Require
that
undergraduate
students

enrolled
in
an
institution
of
higher
education
governed
by
the

board
complete
a
one-credit
hour
financial
literacy
course

offered
by
the
institution.

Sec.
2.
APPLICABILITY.
This
Act
applies
to
all
students
who
7
are
enrolled
in
an
institution
of
higher
education
governed
by
8
the
state
board
of
regents
and
who
will
graduate
from
such
an
9
institution
on
or
after
July
1,
2018.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
12
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
directs
the
state
board
of
regents
to
require
14
that
undergraduate
students
enrolled
in
a
regents
university
15
complete
a
one-credit
hour
financial
literacy
course
offered
16
by
the
university.
17
The
bill
applies
to
students
who
are
enrolled
in
a
regents
18
university
and
who
will
graduate
from
such
a
university
on
or
19
after
July
1,
2018.
