writer

since
2001,
writing

numerous
editorials
on
health
care
policy
in
Iowa;
and

WHEREAS,
Ms.
Dominick
was
awarded
the
2018
Pulitzer
7
Prize
in
editorial
writing
for
her
editorials
on
the
8
implementation
and
effects
of
managed
care
for
Medicaid
9
and
other
significant
health
care
issues
in
Iowa;
and
10
WHEREAS,
Ms.
Dominick
is
one
of
seven
Iowans
11
in
history
to
win
the
Pulitzer
Prize
in
editorial
12
writing;
and
13
WHEREAS,
the
Pulitzer
Prize
Board
praised
Ms.

Dominick’s
work
for
“examining
in
a
clear,
indignant

voice,
free
of
cliche
or
sentimentality,
the
damaging

consequences
for
poor
Iowa
residents
of
privatizing
the

state’s
administration
of
Medicaid”;
and

WHEREAS,
Ms.
Dominick
has
long
shown
a
passion
for

writing
on
health
care
and
related
matters,
including
a

series
of
editorials
on
professional
licensing
in
Iowa

she
was
a
Pulitzer
Prize
finalist

2014
and
