House Resolution 103 - Introduced HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 103 BY HINSON A Resolution honoring and congratulating Kaleb Cook for 1 his volunteer service and receiving a Prudential 2 Spirit of Community Award. 3 WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleb Cook, an esteemed resident of 4 Robins and a student at Linn-Mar High School, has 5 achieved national recognition for exemplary volunteer 6 service by receiving a 2018 Prudential Spirit of 7 Community Award; and 8 WHEREAS, this prestigious award, presented by 9 Prudential Financial in partnership with the National 10 Association of Secondary School Principals, honors 11 young volunteers across America who have demonstrated 12 an extraordinary commitment to serving their 13 communities; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Cook earned this award by generously 15 giving his time and energy to creating an organization 16 that facilitates inclusive dance therapy for people 17 with special needs, and also volunteering for 18 organizations that promote inclusion and equality for 19 special needs individuals, such as Special Olympics, 20 Best Buddies, and Camp Courageous; and 21 WHEREAS, the prosperity of the state of Iowa, the 22 strength of our communities, and the overall vitality 23 of American society depend, in great measure, upon the 24 dedication of young people like Mr. Cook who use their 25 considerable talents and resources to serve others; NOW 26 THEREFORE, 27 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, 28 -1- LSB 6197HH (2) 87 js/rj 1/ 2
