H.F. 43 Section 1. Section 92.6, subsection 1, paragraph c, Code 1 2017, is amended to read as follows: 2 c. Processing occupations, including laundering, except 3 in a retail, food service, or gasoline service establishment 4 in those specific occupations expressly permitted under the 5 provisions of section 92.5 . 6 Sec. 2. Section 92.8, subsection 18, Code 2017, is amended 7 to read as follows: 8 18. Occupations involving the operation of laundry, dry 9 cleaning , or dyeing machinery. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 Current law prohibits persons under 18 years of age from 14 employment in occupations involving the operation of laundry 15 machinery.
