AMBULANCE
SERVICE
PROVIDERS

MEDICAID

REIMBURSEMENT.
The
department
of
human
services
shall
adopt

administrative
rules
to
provide
a
reimbursement
methodology
3
for
ambulance
service
providers
enrolled
in
the
Medicaid
4
program,
under
both
fee-for-service
and
managed
care
plans,
5
that
utilizes
the
Medicare
ambulance
reimbursement
methodology
6
for
ground
transportation,
including
reimbursement
for
mileage
7
at
the
same
rate
as
under
the
Medicare
program
or
a
comparable
8
private
insurance
rate,
and
that
considers
the
rural
or
urban
9
nature
of
the
transport.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

the
members

the
general
assembly.

This
bill
directs
the
department
of
human
services
to
adopt
