H.F. 277 Section 1. Section 237A.1, subsection 3, Code 2017, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . n. A program provided by a school district 3 for three-year-old children requiring special education as 4 defined in section 256B.2. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill relates to the definition of child care for 9 purposes of regulation by the department of human services. 10 The bill exempts programs provided by a school district for 11 three-year-old children requiring special education from the 12 licensing requirements for child care facilities under Code 13 chapter 237A. 14 -1- LSB 1742YH (3) 87 hb/nh 1/ 1
