H.F. 2282 Section 1. Section 99B.31, subsection 1, paragraph h, Code 1 2018, is amended to read as follows: 2 h. The actual retail value of any prize does not exceed 3 one nine hundred fifty dollars. If a prize consists of more 4 than one item, unit, or part, the aggregate retail value of all 5 items, units, or parts shall not exceed one nine hundred fifty 6 dollars. 7 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 8 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill concerns amusement concessions. 13 The bill increases the maximum allowable retail value for 14 any prize awarded for an amusement concession from $100 to 15 $950. 16 The bill takes effect upon enactment. 17 -1- LSB 5480HV (2) 87 ec/rn 1/ 1
