H.F. 2267 Section 1. Section 80B.11, subsection 1, Code 2018, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . m. Procedures for a hearing on an appeal 3 of a denial of an application for attendance to be conducted 4 by video conference, upon request of an appellant to utilize a 5 video conference. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill requires the director of the Iowa law enforcement 10 academy to adopt administrative rules establishing procedures 11 for a hearing on an appeal of a denial of an application for 12 attendance at the academy to be conducted by video conference, 13 upon request of an appellant to utilize a video conference. 14 -1- LSB 6004YH (3) 87 je/rj 1/ 1
