LEOPOLD
CENTER
FOR
SUSTAINABLE

AGRICULTURE.
There
is
appropriated
from
the
general
fund
of

the
state
to
the
department
of
agriculture
and
land
stewardship
3
for
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2018,
and
ending
June
30,
4
2019,
the
following
amount,
or
so
much
thereof
as
is
necessary,
5
to
be
used
for
the
purposes
designated:

deposit
in
the
local
food
and
farm
program
fund

created
in
section
267A.5:

The
department
shall
allocate
moneys
appropriated
to

the
fund
in
subsection
1
to
the
Leopold
center
for
sustainable

agriculture
only
to
the
extent
that
the
allocated
moneys
are
12
matched
on
a
dollar-for-dollar
basis
with
moneys
that
are
13
contributed
from
a
source
or
sources
other
than
the
state
as
14
certified
by
the
president
of
Iowa
state
university
of
science
15
and
technology.
The
moneys
appropriated
in
this
section
shall
16
not
be
expended
for
any
other
use.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
appropriates
moneys
from
the
general
fund
of
the

state
to
the
department
of
agriculture
and
land
stewardship
22
for
FY
2018-2019
to
be
deposited
in
the
local
food
and
farm
23
program
fund.
The
department
is
to
allocate
the
moneys
to
the
24
Leopold
center
for
sustainable
agriculture
only
if
matched
on
a
25
dollar-for-dollar
basis
with
moneys
that
are
contributed
from
a
26
source
other
than
the
state
as
certified
by
the
president
of
27
Iowa
state
university
of
science
and
technology.
