H.F. 2042 Section 1. Section 483A.8B, subsection 1, Code 2018, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. A person who is a resident and who is seventy years 3 of age or older may be issued one special senior statewide 4 antlerless deer only antlered or any sex deer crossbow deer 5 hunting license to hunt deer during bow season as established 6 by rule by the commission. A person who obtains a license 7 to hunt deer under this section is not required to pay the 8 wildlife habitat fee but shall be otherwise qualified to hunt 9 deer in this state and shall purchase a resident hunting 10 license that does not include the wildlife habitat fee. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 This bill provides that a resident who is 70 years of age or 15 older may be issued one special senior statewide antlered or 16 any sex deer crossbow deer hunting license to hunt deer during 17 bow season as established by rule by the natural resource 18 commission.
