H.F. 2032 Section 1. DIRECTIVE TO DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES —— 1 PSYCHIATRIC BED TRACKING SYSTEM. The department of human 2 services shall amend its administrative rules pursuant to 3 chapter 17A to require subacute mental health care facilities 4 to participate in the psychiatric bed tracking system and 5 to report the number of beds available for children and 6 adults with a co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse 7 disorder. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill relates to subacute mental health care facilities 12 and the psychiatric bed tracking system.
