483A.8C,
subsection
1,
Code
2018,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

1.
A
nonambulatory
person
who
is
a
resident
may
be
issued
3
one
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
which
is
valid
and
may
be
4
used
to
hunt
deer
with
a
shotgun
or
a
muzzleloading
rifle
any
5
firearm,
bow
and
arrow,
or
other
hunting
weapon
authorized
for
6
hunting
deer
pursuant
to
this
chapter
during
any
established
7
deer
hunting
season.
A
person
who
applies
for
a
license
8
pursuant
to
this
section
shall
complete
a
form,
as
required
9
by
rule,
that
is
signed
by
a
physician
who
verifies
that
the
10
person
is
nonambulatory.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
changes
the
weapons
requirements
for
nonambulatory
15
hunters.

Currently,
nonambulatory
hunters
may
only
use
a
shotgun
or
a
17
muzzleloading
rifle
while
using
an
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
18
during
any
established
deer
hunting
season.
19
The
bill
allows
nonambulatory
hunters
to
use
any
firearm,
20
bow
and
arrow,
or
other
hunting
weapon
authorized
for
hunting
21
deer
pursuant
to
Code
chapter
483A
while
using
an
any
sex
deer
22
hunting
license
during
any
established
deer
hunting
season.
