The
board
shall
submit
a
copy
of
all
complaints
and
reports

received
by
the
board
regarding
the
practice
or
conduct
of
a

physician
assistant
to
the
board
of
medicine
within
fourteen

days
of
receipt
of
the
complaint
or
report
for
the
purpose
of
6
evaluating
whether
the
supervising
physician
satisfactorily
met
7
minimum
standards
for
supervision.

REPEAL.
2015
Iowa
Acts,
chapter
137,
section
113,

is
repealed.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
board
of
physician
assistants
to
14
submit
a
copy
of
all
complaints
and
reports
the
board
receives
15
regarding
the
practice
or
conduct
of
a
physician
assistant
16
to
the
board
of
medicine
within
14
days
of
receipt
of
the
17
complaint
or
report
for
the
purpose
of
evaluating
whether
a
18
physician
assistant’s
supervising
physician
satisfactorily
met
19
minimum
standards
for
supervision.
20
The
bill
also
repeals
a
requirement
that
the
boards
of
21
physician
assistants
and
medicine
jointly
adopt
rules
pursuant
22
to
Code
chapter
17A
to
establish
specific
minimum
standards
23
or
a
definition
of
supervision
for
appropriate
supervision
of
24
physician
assistants
by
physicians.
