It is the intent of the general assembly that the 12 department and division continuously solicit input from 13 facilities regulated by the division to assess and improve 14 the division’s level of collaboration and to identify new 15 opportunities for cooperation. 16 5. EMPLOYMENT APPEAL BOARD 17 a. For 28 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, and ending June 30, 29 2017, the department of inspections and appeals shall retain 30 collect any license or registration fees generated during the 31 fiscal year as a result of actions licensing and registration 32 activities under section 137F.3A occurring during the period 33 beginning July 1, 2009, and ending June 30, 2017, for the 34 purpose of enforcing the provisions of chapters 99B, 137C , 35 -11- LSB 5020XG (11) 86 av/tm 11/ 18

From the fees collected by the department under this 2 section on behalf of a municipal corporation with which 3 the department has an agreement pursuant to section 137F.3, 4 through a statewide electronic licensing system operated by 5 the department, notwithstanding section 137F.6, subsection 3, 6 the department shall remit the amount of those fees to the 7 municipal corporation for whom the fees were collected less a 8 handling fee. 9 2. From the fees collected by the department under this 10 section, other than those fees described in subsection 1, 11 the department shall deposit the amount of $800,000 into the 12 general fund of the state prior to June 30, 2017. 13 3. From the fees collected by the department under this 14 section, other than those fees described in subsections 1 15 and 2, the department shall retain the remainder of the fees 16 collected for the purposes of enforcing the provisions of 17 chapters 99B, 137C, 137D, and 137F. Division II of the bill relates to and 4 appropriates moneys to various state departments, agencies, 5 and funds for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2016, and 6 ending June 30, 2017.
