A
statewide
land
mobile
radio
communications
system

fund
is
created
in
the
state
treasury
under
the
control
of

the
department.
Moneys
in
the
fund
are
appropriated
to
the
5
department
for
operation
of
a
statewide
land
mobile
radio
6
communications
system
to
be
administered
by
the
department
7
in
coordination
with
the
department
of
public
safety
and
the
8
department
of
transportation.

2.
Notwithstanding
section
12C.7,
subsection
2,
interest
10
or
earnings
on
moneys
in
the
fund
shall
be
credited
to
the
11
fund
and
shall
be
used
for
costs
associated
with
construction
12
of
the
statewide
land
mobile
radio
communications
system.
13
Notwithstanding
section
8.33,
moneys
credited
to
the
fund
that
14
remain
unexpended
or
unobligated
at
the
end
of
a
fiscal
year
15
through
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2021,
and
ending
June
16
30,
2022,
shall
not
revert
to
any
other
fund.

APPROPRIATION.
There
is
appropriated
from
the
general
fund

of
the
state
for
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2015,
and

ending
June
30,
2016,
the
following
amount,
or
so
much
thereof

as
is
necessary,
to
be
used
for
the
purposes
designated:

EFFECTIVE
UPON
ENACTMENT.
This
Act,
being
deemed
of

immediate
importance,
takes
effect
upon
enactment.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
creates
a
statewide
land
mobile
radio

communications
system
fund
in
the
state
treasury
under
the
32
control
of
the
department
of
homeland
security
and
emergency
33
management.
The
bill
specifies
that
moneys
in
the
fund
are
34
appropriated
to
the
department
for
operation
of
a
statewide

The
bill

bill

that
moneys

the
