Section 80.28, subsection 2, unnumbered 1 paragraph 1, Code 2015, is amended to read as follows: 2 The board shall consist of fifteen seventeen voting members, 3 as follows: 4 Sec. 2. Section 80.28, subsection 2, paragraph b, 5 subparagraph (4), Code 2015, is amended to read as follows: 6 (4) Two members who are law public safety communication 7 center managers employed by state or local government agencies. 8 Sec. 3. Section 80.28, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code 2015, 9 is amended by adding the following new subparagraphs: 10 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (05) One member representing local 11 emergency management coordinators. 12 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (005) One member representing emergency 13 medical service providers. 14 EXPLANATION 15 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 16 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 17 This bill adds two new members to the statewide 18 interoperable communications system board, increasing the 19 voting members on the board to 17.
