S.F. 68 Section 1. Section 321.37, subsection 3, Code 2015, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 3. It is unlawful for the owner of a vehicle to place 3 any frame around or over the registration plate which does 4 not permit full view of all the validation sticker and the 5 combination of numerals and letters printed on the registration 6 plate which constitutes the registration plate number . 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 Current law prohibits a person from attaching a frame 11 around or over the person’s motor vehicle registration plate 12 if the frame covers any numerals or letters printed on the 13 registration plate. This bill narrows this prohibition to 14 include only frames that cover the validation sticker or the 15 registration plate number.
