in
order
to

violation

this
section
commits

serious
misdemeanor.

bill
relates
to
the
unauthorized
placement
of
a
global

device.

Under
the
bill,
a
person
commits
unauthorized
placement
of

a
global
positioning
device,
when,
with
intent
to
intimidate,

annoy,
or
alarm
another
person,
the
person,
without
the
consent

of
the
other
person,
places
a
global
positioning
device
on
the
19
other
person
or
an
object
in
order
to
track
the
movements
of

the
other
person
without
a
legitimate
purpose.

A
person
who
violates
the
bill
commits
a
serious
22
misdemeanor.
A
serious
misdemeanor
is
punishable
by
23
confinement
for
no
more
than
one
year
and
a
fine
of
at
least
24
$315
but
not
more
than
$1,875.
