S.F. 209 Section 1. Section 8B.22, subsection 2, paragraph f, Code 1 2015, is amended to read as follows: 2 f. Assist participating agencies in converting printed 3 government materials to electronic materials which can be 4 accessed through an internet searchable database. In addition, 5 assist participating agencies in utilizing garamond fonts and 6 consistent font sizes for printed government materials to 7 reduce printing costs, if possible, while ensuring readability 8 and the ability of converting materials to electronic 9 materials. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill requires the office of the chief information 14 officer to assist agencies in utilizing garamond fonts and 15 consistent font sizes for printed government materials to 16 reduce costs while ensuring readability and the ability to 17 convert materials to electronic materials. 18 -1- LSB 2040XS (3) 86 ec/sc 1/ 1
