483A.24,
subsection
2,
paragraph
d,
Code

2016,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

d.
In
addition
to
the
free
deer
hunting
licenses
received
3
pursuant
to
paragraph
“c”
,
an
owner
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
4
member
of
the
owner’s
family
and
the
tenant
or
a
member
of
the
5
tenant’s
family
may
purchase
a
deer
hunting
license
for
any
6
option
offered
to
paying
deer
hunting
licensees.
An
owner
of
a
7
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
the
owner’s
family
and
the
tenant
or
a
8
member
of
the
tenant’s
family
may
also
purchase
two
additional
9
antlerless
deer
hunting
licenses
which
are
valid
only
on
the
10
farm
unit
for
a
fee
of
ten
dollars
each.
The
reduced-fee
deer
11
hunting
licenses
issued
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
shall
be
12
valid
and
may
be
used
during
any
deer
hunting
season.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
15
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
when
an
owner
or
tenant
of
a
17
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
that
person’s
family
purchases
a
18
reduced-fee
antlerless
deer
hunting
license
for
use
on
that
19
person’s
farm
unit,
the
license
may
be
used
to
hunt
deer
during
20
any
deer
hunting
season.
Currently,
such
reduced-fee
licenses
21
are
valid
during
only
one
specified
deer
hunting
season.
