Authorization

practice

profession
——
collection
of
additional
fees.

An
executive
branch
administrative
unit
that
regulates
a
3
profession
shall
only
assess
a
fee
for
renewal
of
a
license,
4
certificate,
registration,
or
other
authorization
to
practice
5
the
profession
from
a
person
who
holds
a
current
authorization
6
and
is
in
good
standing
with
that
administrative
unit
in
7
accordance
with
the
administrative
unit’s
rules
in
effect
at
8
the
time
the
person
acquired
or
most
recently
renewed
the
9
authorization,
regardless
of
whether
the
unit
modified
a
10
requirement
for
initially
obtaining
the
license
during
the
11
period
for
which
the
person’s
authorization
was
valid.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

the
members

the
general
assembly.

This
bill
prohibits
an
executive
branch
administrative
unit
16
that
regulates
a
profession
from
assessing
a
fee
for
renewal
of
17
a
license,
certificate,
registration,
or
other
authorization
18
to
practice
the
profession
from
a
person
who
holds
a
current
19
authorization
and
is
in
good
standing
with
that
administrative
20
unit
in
accordance
with
the
administrative
unit’s
rules
in
21
effect
at
the
time
the
person
acquired
or
most
recently
renewed
22
the
authorization,
regardless
of
whether
the
unit
modified
a
23
requirement
for
initially
obtaining
the
license

the
