Section 455C.1, subsection 1, Code 2016, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. “Beverage” means wine as defined in section 123.3, 3 subsection 47 , alcoholic liquor as defined in section 123.3, 4 subsection 5 , beer as defined in section 123.3, subsection 7 , 5 water, juice, sports drinks, mineral water, and soda water and 6 similar carbonated soft drinks in liquid form and intended for 7 human consumption. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill adds water, juice, and sports drinks as beverages 12 included in the beverage containers control program. 13 -1- LSB 5213YC (2) 86 tr/rj 1/ 1
