House Resolution 39 - Introduced HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 39 BY NUNN A Resolution recognizing and congratulating the 1 Southeast Polk Community School District Wrestling 2 Team and Program on winning the 2015 Class 3A 3 Iowa High School Wrestling Traditional Tournament 4 Championship and the 2015 State Dual Team Wrestling 5 Championship. 6 WHEREAS, the Southeast Polk Community School 7 District High School Wrestling Team (the Rams) 8 qualified 13 wrestlers for the Class 3A Division of the 9 2015 Traditional State Wrestling Tournament; and 10 WHEREAS, the Rams scored 193 points on the strength 11 of 11 placewinners and 3 state champions, to win the 12 tournament on February 21, 2015; and 13 WHEREAS, a point total of 193 is the second-highest 14 point total in the history of the tournament; and 15 WHEREAS, the Rams also won the 2015 State Dual Team 16 Wrestling Championship on February 18, 2015; and 17 WHEREAS, this was the second time the Rams have 18 won the State Dual Team and Traditional Tournament 19 Wrestling Championships; NOW THEREFORE, 20 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, 21 That the House of Representatives recognizes 22 and congratulates the Southeast Polk Community 23 School District Wrestling Team and Program on its 24 outstanding achievement in winning the 2015 Class 3A 25 Iowa High School Wrestling Traditional Tournament 26 Championship and the 2015 State Dual Team Wrestling 27 Championship; and 28 -1- LSB 2631HH (2) 86 rn/rj 1/ 2
