H.F. 94 Section 1. REPEAL. Section 422.12M, Code 2015, is repealed. 1 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 2 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 3 Sec. 3. RETROACTIVE APPLICABILITY. This Act applies 4 retroactively to January 1, 2015, for tax years beginning on 5 or after that date. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill repeals Code section 422.12M, which requires 10 taxpayers to indicate on their tax returns the presence or 11 absence of health care coverage for their dependent children 12 and to apply for Medicaid or the hawk-i program if they meet 13 certain income eligibility standards.
