NEW SECTION . 136D.3A Minors’ use of tanning 1 devices prohibited. 2 A tanning facility shall not allow a person under eighteen 3 years of age to use a tanning device. 4 EXPLANATION 5 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 6 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 7 This bill relates to tanning facilities and creates new Code 8 section 136D.3A prohibiting a tanning facility from allowing 9 individuals under 18 years of age to use a tanning device. 10 A tanning facility that violates a provision of Code chapter 11 136D is subject to a civil penalty and injunctive relief. 12 -1- LSB 1700HV (2) 86 rh/nh 1/ 1
