H.F. 2317 Section 1. Section 303.8, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code 1 2016, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. Maintain research centers in Des Moines and Iowa City and 3 ensure the centers remain open and accessible to the public for 4 a minimum of thirty-six hours per calendar week . 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill requires the state historical society board of 9 trustees to ensure that the research centers located in Des 10 Moines and Iowa City remain open for a minimum of 36 hours per 11 calendar week. 12 -1- LSB 5854YH (3) 86 ec/sc 1/ 1
