H.F. 2251 Section 1. Section 261B.11, subsection 1, Code 2016, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . o. A school of religious study located 3 in Iowa that was established in Spain in 1982, is affiliated 4 with the department of global missions of open bible churches, 5 grants bachelor’s degrees, and is accredited by a nationally 6 recognized accrediting agency as determined by the United 7 States department of education. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 To the list of schools and courses of instruction that are 12 exempt from the postsecondary school registration requirements 13 of Code chapter 261B, this bill adds a school of religious 14 study located in Iowa that was established in Spain in 1982, 15 is affiliated with the department of global missions of open 16 bible churches, grants bachelor’s degrees, and is accredited by 17 a nationally recognized accrediting agency as determined by the 18 United States department of education. 19 -1- LSB 5806YH (2) 86 kh/sc 1/ 1
