H.F. 2208 Section 1. Section 484A.1, subsection 2, Code 2016, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 2. “Migratory game bird” means any wild goose, brant, wild 3 duck, snipe, rail, woodcock, mourning dove, or coot. 4 EXPLANATION 5 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 6 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 7 This bill requires a person to pay the migratory game bird 8 fee of $8 before hunting mourning doves. A violation of this 9 provision is punishable as a scheduled violation with a fine 10 of $10 or as a simple misdemeanor. A simple misdemeanor is 11 punishable by confinement for no more than 30 days or a fine of 12 at least $65 but not more than $625 or by both. 13 -1- LSB 5876YH (1) 86 av/nh 1/ 1
